Local SEO & GBP Cost
Local SEO Cost: Profile Setup, Website Work, and Ongoing Development
My standard Google Business Profile setup or optimization is $400 for one eligible profile. Ongoing local SEO development starts at $750 per month for an agreed single-business scope.
These are different purchases. A one-time setup establishes or improves the profile’s information. Ongoing work connects that presence with the website, business listings, useful local content, and measurement.
Google provides Business Profile itself at no charge. A professional fee pays for the work of preparing and managing the information, not for permission to appear on Google. Google Business Profile.
What Published Offers Show
Grow Local Flow in St. Augustine, Florida publishes $299 for profile setup and optimization, and a separate $299 monthly management service. Checked September 6, 2026. That is a profile-focused example, not a nationwide average for comprehensive local SEO. Grow Local Flow.
A quote that adds website content, listing corrections, technical work, and analysis has a wider scope than a profile-only service. Compare the actual responsibilities, locations, and output before comparing monthly amounts.
Standard Profile Setup — $400
This package covers one eligible business profile in a normal setup or optimization situation. It begins with the real business: what it does, where it operates, whether customers visit the premises, and what information can be confirmed.
The scope includes review and preparation of the business details, appropriate categories and services, relevant website links, supplied visual material, and assistance with the standard verification process.
| What I handle within the agreed scope | What the business needs to provide or do |
|---|---|
| Review the intended profile setup | Explain the real operating model and location or service area |
| Prepare accurate business information | Confirm the name, contact details, hours, and available services |
| Configure appropriate profile details | Supply relevant business facts and suitable available images |
| Connect the relevant website destinations | Confirm which pages and contact paths represent the offer |
| Help with the standard verification process | Complete required owner actions and provide requested evidence |
Google determines eligibility and verification. The package cannot guarantee approval, a particular verification method, or a position in Maps. Complex reinstatement cases, disputed ownership, and multiple profiles require separate assessment.
The Google Business Profile guide explains the practical setup and ownership considerations.
Local Development — From $750 per Month
The starting monthly scope connects the profile with the business’s existing website. It includes profile and important business-information review, one new or substantially updated local page, and reporting on the agreed work and available observations.
The work should follow real customer needs. A useful local page explains actual availability and service conditions. Creating large numbers of near-identical city pages is not a deliverable implied by this package.
| Work area | Starting scope |
|---|---|
| Profile | Review relevant details and make agreed updates |
| Business information | Check important information and selected listing consistency within the agreed scope |
| Website content | One new or substantially updated local page in the month |
| Measurement | Review relevant available observations and report completed work |
| Next priorities | Identify issues or content needs that require another decision |
Publisher fees, paid directory subscriptions, advertising, major website development, original photography, and multi-location expansion are separate unless included explicitly.
Choose the Scope That Matches the Problem
The profile is incomplete, but the website already explains the business well. A one-time profile setup or optimization may be the appropriate starting job.
The profile is reasonable, but the site does not explain services or working areas. Website content deserves attention. Profile posting alone does not supply the missing answers on the website.
The business information is inconsistent across important listings. Define the affected records and correction work. A subscription to a listing tool, manual cleanup, and ongoing local development are different scopes.
The business has several genuine locations. Each location’s information, content, ownership, and operations need review. Do not assume that multiplying a profile count captures all the work.
The business is not eligible for a profile. Do not buy a package that promises to manufacture eligibility. The website can still be planned around the actual offer and audience.
Avoid Paying Twice for the Same Local Work
Local content can also be part of a broader SEO and content growth plan. If a page or profile task is already included there, it is not charged again just because it belongs to local SEO.
A new website project may also include particular local pages in its initial content plan. The proposal records what is included and what remains separate.
The Pricing hub helps combine only the packages you actually choose. Local work is not a compulsory surcharge on every website.
Payment and What Happens Next
The $400 setup is paid in advance after the scope is agreed. Monthly development is paid in advance for the coming work period. The agreement records review needs, ongoing responsibilities, and cancellation arrangements.
The business retains account control. Where access is delegated, the arrangement should not make a supplier the only person able to manage the profile.
No sales or Maps position is promised as an acceptance condition. The work can be reviewed through the accurate configuration, published content, completed corrections, and reporting that were agreed.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why pay for setup if Google Business Profile is free?
The fee pays for professional work on the information and configuration. You can perform the work yourself; the profile does not become a paid Google product because someone helps you manage it.
Does $400 include getting the profile verified?
It includes assistance with the standard process within the agreed scope. Google controls its requirements and decision, and the owner may need to supply evidence or perform actions. Approval cannot be purchased from me.
Is a website included in $750 per month?
The local development package works with an existing suitable site. It is not a complete website build. The scope includes one agreed new or substantially updated local page, not an unlimited new website.
Do you charge separately for every town I serve?
The content and profile plan follows the actual business. A separate page is useful only when it has a distinct purpose and accurate information. Geographic expansion is scoped by the required work, not an automatic charge for every place name.
Does the fee include advertising?
No. Profile work and organic local development are separate from advertising budgets and campaign management.
Can I keep the profile if I stop working with you?
The business should retain control of the profile and related accounts. Ending a service agreement does not transfer ownership of your business presence to the provider.
