WordPress Website Cost
WordPress Website Cost: Price the Complete Launch
My complete WordPress website projects start at $7,500. That starting price brings together research, the website structure, agreed content, WordPress and YOOtheme Pro, technical setup, testing, and launch.
The useful question is what the finished project lets your business do. A website can be inexpensive to assemble when the client supplies an approved structure, finished text, images, and technical accounts. A project that needs all of those things prepared has a different scope, even if the two websites have the same number of pages.
This guide explains what my starting package covers, what changes the quote, and how to compare it with other offers. The Pricing overview connects development with the ongoing costs of ownership and growth.
What Published Prices Tell You—and What They Leave Open
Codeable lists website design and development starting at $2,500. Appaloosa’s WordPress Sales package is $5,000 plus a care plan and includes stated content allowances. OuterBox reports that many of its website projects fall between $10,000 and $50,000. These are different offers, not equivalent products or a measured national average. Prices were checked on September 6, 2026. Codeable, Appaloosa, OuterBox.
A starting figure does not answer whether the provider researches the market, writes useful supporting guides, configures business email, or requires a continuing subscription. Those details determine whether the quote covers your actual project.
When comparing a lower-priced build with a complete service, write down what you would still need to supply or purchase. Then compare the total responsibility and expenditure, including your own preparation work.
My Starting Package: From $7,500
The starting scope is one new business website, in one language, with standard functionality. A representative first release might have approximately 12–20 content pages and up to three main layout types. The agreed page plan establishes the actual deliverables.
That page count describes a possible scale, not a promise that every collection of twenty pages costs the same. Specialist guides that require extensive research can make a smaller website more demanding than a larger set of straightforward pages.
| Work included in the agreed project | What you review or receive |
|---|---|
| Business and search research | The offers, buyer questions, and subject boundaries the website will cover |
| Structure and content planning | A proposed page map with a distinct role for each page |
| Content preparation | Drafting and editing of the agreed text using confirmed business information |
| WordPress and YOOtheme Pro | A working content system with a coherent visual presentation and mobile layouts |
| Technical foundation | Server preparation, domain connection, DNS, Cloudflare, email, caching, and an agreed backup setup |
| Contact and measurement | Working inquiry forms, Analytics and Search Console setup |
| Release and handover | Agreed launch checks, corrections, account information, and access |
I share the structure and content plan. A representative page then shows how the content and presentation work together before the main build proceeds.
The package includes two consolidated revision rounds within the agreed scope. Corrections to my work are separate from additional requests that change the approved project.
What Usually Changes the Budget
More Research and Editorial Depth
A clear service description built from reliable owner input is different from a specialist resource requiring substantial source comparison, original examples, or expert review. The content estimate needs to reflect the actual questions and evidence, not just a target word count.
The content pricing guide explains this distinction. Content included in the website proposal is not charged again at the standalone page rate.
Different Types of Functionality
A contact form and a customer portal are different commitments. Booking rules, restricted access, complex CRM workflows, calculators, and custom integrations introduce implementation and testing requirements that need to be identified before the quote is fixed.
Standard functionality remains within the agreed package. Additional features receive a defined scope and price; they are not silently added to the final invoice.
The Starting Materials
You do not need finished copy to begin. You do need a way to confirm what the business can deliver. Documents, existing explanations, and suitable photographs can make preparation more straightforward.
If the project needs original photography, video production, or substantial specialist fact gathering, those are identified separately. AI can help organize and draft content, but it does not establish facts about your business.
Markets and Languages
A second language involves more than translating buttons. Offers, terminology, business details, and content may need review for the audience. Additional markets and languages therefore receive a separate scope.
Budget Scenarios
| Your situation | How I would scope it |
|---|---|
| One service business with clear offers, accessible facts, and standard inquiries | Assess against the $7,500 starting package |
| Several service areas with substantial supporting explanations or additional page types | A larger fixed proposal; $7,500–$12,000 is a planning range for suitable moderate scopes, not a ceiling |
| A substantial publishing system with dozens of deep guides | Separate content and build estimate based on the actual plan |
| Online sales with a catalog and checkout | Assess as a WooCommerce project, starting at $10,000 |
A smaller initial scope should still be complete enough for a customer to understand the offer and act. Leaving essential information unfinished is not a useful way to make the first quote look cheaper.
Payment and Ownership
Website projects use three payments:
- 40% after agreeing the project, before research and production begin.
- 30% after approving the structure, content plan, and representative page, before the main build.
- 30% after the agreed site is ready for final review and corrections are complete, before public launch.
For a $7,500 project, those payments are $3,000, $2,250, and $2,250.
The domain, server, and business accounts are established under your control wherever possible. Payment milestones do not change that ownership approach. The agreement records access, responsibilities, and what happens if the project is paused or stopped.
What You Pay After Launch
Provider charges such as hosting, domain renewal, email, and applicable licenses continue. My maintenance or development work continues only under a separate arrangement.
Do not assume that a new website requires every monthly package listed on this site. Start with responsible technical upkeep, then decide whether further content or promotion fits your priorities. Review running costs and maintenance pricing separately.
Questions About WordPress Website Pricing
Can you give me a fixed price before the work starts?
Yes, once the starting scope, assumptions, and deliverables are agreed. The advertised price is a starting point; the proposal is the fixed price for your specific project. New requirements are discussed before additional work proceeds.
Is a domain or hosting subscription included in $7,500?
The agreed setup work is included. Registration, rental, renewals, and other third-party charges are separate and identified in the proposal. This also keeps account control and operating expenses visible.
Can I order only the website build and supply the content?
That can be assessed if it fits the project. The material still needs to be checked against the structure and publication requirements. Supplying content does not establish a fixed discount before its condition and the remaining work are understood.
Are custom visual designs included?
The offer uses YOOtheme Pro to create an appropriate style and usable layouts. A separate bespoke design engagement or custom illustration project is not implied by the package.
Will every page be indexed at launch?
Launch checks address technical readiness and the agreed content. Indexing, ranking, and customer acquisition are separate outcomes; the final project payment is not tied to a guaranteed search result.
Why not quote solely by the number of pages?
The research, content complexity, templates, functionality, and reviews determine the work. Page count helps describe scope but cannot capture those differences on its own.
